Rosa Banksiae, “Lutea” AKA Yellow Lady Banks Rose is a thornless, rambling, climbing rose. Introduced to American gardens in the late 1800′s, it has been growing strong ever since. Blooms heavily each Spring and sporadically in some climates in the Fall. Disease and drought resistant and one of the few roses that are deer don’t like to eat. Evergreen in USDA zones 9 and 10, cold hardy in zones 6, 7 and 8.
Plant in more sun than shade. Great for a fence, trellis or arbor.
There are at least two cultivars, Yellow ” Lutea ” and White “Alba Plena”. We usually try to carry both varieties (when we don’t sell out in the spring.
